Exotic Foliage, Inc. designs interior tropical landscapes and provides horticultural care to both homes and businesses. We have been serving the greater Philadelphia area for more than 15 years.
Exotic Foliage offers 30 different varieties of orchids, getting them from the far corners of the globe such as the Himalayas, Southeast Asia, the Philippines, India and Japan. We also offer 35 different types of palms, getting them from South America, Australia, Polynesia, the Canary Islands, Africa and Arabia.
All of our specimens are acclimatized in our greenhouse in lower Bucks County so they are healthy and disease-free before being placed in our interior landscapes.
PRINCIPALS
Frank Iaconianni was a 19 year old college student among the swaying palms in Florida when he had a life-changing idea. He loved horticulture and the look of exotic palms and orchids. Why not bring these plants to the Philadelphia area and use them to decorate businesses and homes?
The idea lay dormant for ten years while Frank worked as a computer engineer, but in 1987 Frank left this profession and embarked on his dream. He rented his first greenhouse and found his first customers. As Exotic Foliage's reputation has spread through word of mouth, their customer base has grown exponentially.
Philip Sargent brings over 30 years of horticultural design experience to the company. He has a degree in ornamental horticulture and a life long love of plants and nature. Phil has been a volunteer at the Philadelphia Flower Show answering horticultural questions and solving any plant problems visitors may have. He was also store manager for McNaughton's Nurseries in Cherry Hill, New Jersey for 11 years.
Phil's creative designs have beautified many different types of spaces — from private homes to restaurants to car dealerships to airports.
